Leadership

Who is in charge of the church? Jesus said, “I will build MY church” (Matthew 16:18, emphasis ours). The repeated refrain of the New Testament is that Christ is the head of the church, and we are His body. It is based on this fundamental truth that the leadership structure of Church of the Springs is built. Those charged to serve by leading do not fulfill their responsibilities by making decisions, but by following His direction. The leadership system of elders, deacons and ministry team leaders seek to exercise oversight of the congregation with humility and dependence on Christ as the Chief Shepherd, serving as examples of devotion to the Lord.
